Supporting AD’s through professional development and community.

The Nebraska State Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association is an organization made up of athletic directors, assistant athletic directors, and middle school athletic directors, both active and retired. Our stated goal is to provide professional development and support for all members to improve the extra curricular opportunities for students.

Memberships run yearly beginning at the November conference and include a number of benefits. These benefits include insurance coverage, attendance at the fall conference and spring banquet, the quarterly newsletter, and a variety of educational opportunities throughout the year. Nebraska is a dual-membership state, which means that the state dues include membership in the NIAAA.

MLB Agent Mark Leinweaver spoke to Nebraska AD’s about the importance of being your own agent and representing yourself and community like the celebrity you are. He has a powerful message of character education, anti-bullying, and social media responsibility. With experience working with high school, college, and professional athletes, Mark has many examples of the influence, good and bad, that sports figures can have on their schools. His intense and direct approach to his message of HOPE provided an engaging and informative session for the 100+ AD’s in attendance. You can view his presentation at the link below.

Remembering the late Bill Fitzgerald

“I am hopeful that more of our members get involved in the NIAAA Leadership Training Program and work to become a Certified AD (RAA, CAA, or CMAA), something that gives each more respect and knowledge in their duties and communities.”

— Bill Fitzgerald - Former NSIAAA Executive Director
